Amber is a 27-year-old Textile Designer and Digital Illustration Artist from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Her journey into the world of illustration has been nothing short of a colourful adventure. Amber’s portfolio features an eclectic mix of both lively hyper-realistic and moody graphic designs, which have found their way into retail stores across Northern Ireland. What began as a few personalised portraits for friends and family in 2019 has blossomed into her thriving freelance business, AJD.

Amber’s love for colour and fabrics can be traced back to her studies in Textile Design at De Montfort University in Leicester, where she spent four years honing her craft. During her time living overseas, she grew to appreciate the natural beauty of her homeland, which inspired her to start digitally illustrating iconic landmarks during the 2020 lockdown. This hobby quickly turned into a significant part of her business, with her bestselling Belfast Series debuting in late 2022, and Coastal Collection in 2023 of which highlights her evolving illustration skills.

After graduating in 2019, Amber secured a full-time position as a Textile Designer for a local UK manufacturing company. This role allowed her to deepen her understanding of design for manufacturing and work with notable retailers such as Boots UK, TK Maxx, QVC, and Brown Thomas. This experience motivated her to expand her own product range into everyday gifts, kitchen textiles and her best-selling water-repellent outdoor cushions.

Amber’s objective has always been to create exclusive, affordable, and uniquely designed prints and accessories for everyday homes, ensuring they stand the test of time. She emphasizes quality over quantity and collaborates closely with local family ran businesses in the production of goods.
